Online Classes
Technical Hardware/Software Requirements

In order to take an
online course, you will need to meet some minimum technical requirements.
NOTE:
Your computer must
have updated Virus Protection Software. Either Norton or McAfee current virus software installed on your
computer.
Software may be downloaded at the following sites:

NOTE: Students
interested in taking COMS 491 Adobe Elements 3
need the following Hardware and Software requirements:
You must have Adobe Photoshop Elements 3
software installed on your computer.
HARDWARE SYSTEM
REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 3 CLASS:
....Intel* Pentium* lll or 4 (or compatible)
800 MHz faster processor.
....Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Home
Edition with Service Pack 1; Windows 2000 with Service Pak 4
....256 MB or Ram (512 or more recommended)
....600 MB of available hard-disk space
....1,024x768 16-bit (XGA) display
....CD-ROM drive
....Fro handhelds: Requires Palm OS 4.0, 4.1,
or 5.0 and Palm Desktop

INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER
An Internet Service Provider
(ISP) is a company that provides you with the software needed for connecting
with the Internet.
3. SOFTWARE
You will need a Java a
capable Browser. Recommended is Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 (or higher)
/Outlook Express E-mail or Netscape Navigator 4.0 (or higher). Your Internet
Service Provider provided you with a browser. Either of the above Browsers
will be acceptable to use with our Online Classes.

E-MAIL ACCOUNT:
An
e-mail account is established for you when you sign up with an ISP.
5. TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
Your local provider should be able to provide
most of the technical support that you require.
6. MANUAL
You do not need any manual for the classes I teach. I will send you a CD
Rom Disk that will have all
