ARTIST

With beauty and nature all around, it is easy to get inspiration for my different types of Art work.

Born in Dallas Texas and raised in St. Louis, I knew that the big city life was not for me so off to Montana I ventured for my College career. I attended the University of Montana and graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor in art with a option to teach. This is what I have been happily doing for the last 30 years in the Philipsburg School system. I continued my education with a Master in Library Science in 2000, small town Montana you need to be able to have many hats. Raising children, helping with my husband’s family ranch and teaching has not left much time for my own passion of art but now that things are slowing down and life is comfortable, I am beginning to pick this passion back up.

I am a signature member of the Colored pencil Society of America and have won several awards in the International competition. I have exhibited in Seattle, San Diego, Los Angeles, Fort Worth, Memphis, Washington DC and several towns in Montana. Teaching you need to know lots about many different mediums and be able to competently demonstrate many facets of art. Through this I have continued to grow as an artist.I love to create in many different mediums: colored pec=ncils, Silk paintings, Watercolors, Arcylics and oils. Through the years I have taken great pride in my art and those of my students.
